“making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in Christ, things in heaven and things on earth in him.”Ephesians 1:9-10 ESV
Reflection: why are there such efforts to set up a “one world order”?
You might have seen the riots, the chaos in France these days. Some say the country is heading towards a collapse as a nation. And, if you are paying attention, similar civil unrest is happening in many countries, especially in Europe. But as you take a step back, you don’t see much concern from the president of France, and the elected representatives. In a way they seem ok with what is happening to their country. To their own people. And, the same seems to be the case in the other countries as well. And, we can all observe who is creating the chaos. It is not the people who have lived there peacefully for generations. But what you may not know is that a lot of what is going on, the violence, the destruction, etc, is organized and funded. There are some very powerful people behind all of this; meaning, the demonstrations are not at all “organic”. Just like the mass migrations in the West has not been organic. Migration and shortages happening because of wars. We saw the same take place in the United States, a number of times in recent history. Mass migration, paid agitators, well funded and organized, caused all sorts of damage in many large cities across the country.
The question we need to think about is, why. Why would anyone want the destruction of a millennia old civilization, such as France? If we pay attention to what powerful people have said for several decades now; they want “a new world order”. They want a “reset”. They want population surveillance and control. They want less people and less consumption. And, they want a one world religion. There are many large groups and organizations supporting and driving all of this, and it might be wise for us to pay attention to what they say. Because, whether we think this is important or not, they do. They are very serious and committed to this mission.
We may find the real reason, the answer behind all of this one world effort in our verses today. Paul wrote that God “making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in Christ, things in heaven and things on earth in him.”Ephesians 1:9-10 ESV. We see here the one government announced, under the one King of kings, under Christ Jesus. That God desires, and plans to unite all things in heaven and on earth, in Christ. Not some earthly government or religious figure, but under Christ. So, if you are an enemy of Christ, it only makes sense to try to undermine God’s plan by creating all sorts of false “duplicates”. To deceive people. That is what the enemy does all the time.
But we know that Christ has overcome this world. He is victorious. And, He will come back and establish His reign. So as His children, we have nothing to fear. But, we must be wise to what is going on. To all the tricks of the enemy, so that we don’t fall for them. Jesus has already said this would happen, so we need to be on guard. “And then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘Look, there he is!’ do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform signs and wonders, to lead astray, if possible, the elect. But be on guard; I have told you all things beforehand. “But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. And then he will send out the angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.” Mark 13:21-27 ESV
Let’s not be fooled.
